Ethics Committee

With the season underway and a fun year of baseball ahead, we wanted to send out an email letting the adults of Fairhaven/Acushnet Youth Baseball know that we have a new program for 2017.

The F/A Board of Directors formed the Code of Conduct Committee this offseason, charged with ensuring that our league is living up to our standards on the field and off it.

We don’t have many problems over the course of a season, but things happen and we want to be able to respond to and fix them as soon as possible.

If you are having issues with anything related to F/A baseball, your first step is to approach your team manager or coach. But if a problem arises that you don’t feel comfortable discussing in that way, an email to the Code of Conduct Committee will ensure that the problem will be investigated.

We see three main areas of concern year to year, and this is what the Committee hopes to address:
-- verbal disputes

-- on/off-field sportsmanship

-- concerns about overall adult conduct

The email address is, and will be maintained by our Code of Conduct Committee. Anyone bringing something to the committee’s attention will be informed of the progress and resolution, and if it is determined that it needs more serious review, the F/A executive board is then brought in to rule.
